Kathy Sierra wrote an nice article about doing many thing at once e.g.:
“Think of how many times you’ve been on the phone with someone when you hear that little click-clack of their keyboard. (I hate that. I do it to other people, but I hate it when they do it to me.) And it makes me crazy when I’m trying to have a conversation with someone in the same room, while they’re saying, “Uh-huh… yeah… I’m listening…sure, I can do this and talk at the same time…”. You know who you are ; )”
Her conclusions are, that “Our brains can’t do even two independent things that require conscious thought, especially if those two things involve different goals” and “If you want to get more done, be mindful.
If you want to have more time, be mindful.”
