Kelly Goto defines in “Brand Value and the User Experience” four guiding principles that should be a part of any usability or user experience specialist’s toolkit. The four principles are:

  • Create comfort-first and foremost.
  • Make the experience intuitive.
  • Keep it consistent.
  • Build credibility and trust.

In this article the term “user experience” stand for “the overall perception and comprehensive interaction an individual has with a company, service or product. A positive user experience is an end-user’s successful and streamlined completion of a desired task.”
